Branches of the Pompidou Center is coming to Busan

Busan City is carrying out various forms of cooperation with many cities in other countries. Among the cooperation in the fields of culture, arts, and content, the installation of the Pompidou Center Busan with France is expected to have a great ripple effect not only in the field of arts but also in the field of content.

Yesterday, as a member of the Busan Future Innovation Initiative, I had a roundtable meeting with Mayor, Experts, Congress, and Administrators of Busan. Various ideas were presented on the agenda for creating so-called <Art Park> in Busan’s coastal park, which is larger than New York’s Central Park. As you know, there are branches of the Pompidou Center in various countries including the Middle East, but the Busan branch will be the largest.

The Igidae beach area in Busan, where the art park will be built, has a breathtaking view similar to the Uluwatu coastal cliffs in Bali. Just across the coastal cliffs, you can see Haeundae, which is lined with skyscrapers. Busan plans to attract an international art center, a forest galleries, tourist facilities, Pompidou Busan, and more than 7 art galleries. We plan to have several more roundtables over the next year, so please suggest any good ideas.
